OLD SCHOOL
Rated R

Hopeless Mitch Martin, who is played by Luke Wilson (Charlie's Angels, Legally Blond), leaves his real estate law seminar in San Diego a few hours early to get home to his loving girlfriend Heidi (Juliette Lewis- Enough). There he finds out she's a little too loving, and sure enough he's single again. Luckily, his two best friends: “Frank the Tank,” (Will Ferrell- Saturday Night Live, A Night At The Roxbury's) who's getting married, and Beanie (Vince Vaughn- Psycho, Swingers), their millionaire, entrepreneur pal who is married and not very happy about it, are there for him. Beanie urges Frank not to do it, and it's probably the best advice anyone gets or gives in this salute to emotional immaturity in the 30-year-old male.
Mitch moves into an empty house on the campus of Henderson University and Beanie decides it is the perfect party house. They inaugurate it with “Mitch-a-Palooza,” a huge party where Snoop Dogg performs for probably the entire student population and then some. The stated objective is to cheer up Mitch and drink and meet girls. The next morning, amid the rubble, an old nemesis of the boys shows up in the person of Dean Prichert. He is going to evict Mitch and stop the partying on the grounds that the house is on the campus and must have a purpose related to the university. Here's where idea-man Beanie decides they will form a fraternity, and they begin to pledge anyone and everyone who wants to join. This motley crew includes a 90-year-old man, several middle-aged guys and nine luckless students.
The Dean schemes to have them black mailed and this eventually leads to a test that will decide if they can continue to exist as a fraternity. With the test on way, Mitch runs into Nicole, on whom he had a crush in high school. She's back in town with a little girl. He has to keep the fraternity going, plus have a normal life with Nicole.
I thought this movie was hysterical. I laughed so hard at the odd group of boys that were in the fraternity. This movie, however, does contain vulgar language, nudity and crude humor. If you have 2 hours to spare, definitely go and see this one!
